Hey, I’m Eric. It’s great to meet you!

Hi. I'm Eric. I'm a guy who loves to look through old pictures and to reminisce about the Real moments that were made. My favorite pictures are the ones that make me feel those same emotions from the moment it was captured.

I don't think I'm the only one who wants MORE from their photos.

So reach out if you feel like getting photos that make you feel something real.

Here is what you can expect from me:

  1. Mindful Photography - My favorite part of photography is catching the unscripted, candid moments that you look back on and say, “That’s a real moment.” You know the photos like this when you see them, and you probably had some of your favorites come to mind. Those are what I love to capture. It takes me being observant (and yes, mindful) of the moments happening around us.

  2. Personable - I will treat you, your partner, and your guests respectfully and make the day's more hectic parts inclusive and welcoming. This will help create pictures that you will enjoy looking back on because of that day’s experience.

  3. Collaboration - Working with you on how you want your special day documented excites me the most. I love hearing others’ excitement, it never fails to make me more invested!

When I’m not working, you can find me spending quality time with my amazing wife and son, hiking a nearby trail, reading, or watching a movie.

What does “Documentary” Even Mean?

Documentary Photography goes by other names you may have heard before: Candid Photography, Storytelling Photography, or even Photojournalism. All of these terms can get overused or muddled but the main takeaways are:

  • The photos taken depict reality. No unnecessary staging, posing, or prompting!

  • The photos will tell a story. The location, the details, the people, and the emotions inform us on what was important that day.

Okay, but what does that mean for me, the client?

It means you get to have a great time being you! Celebrate, feel, smile, cry. All those emotions will come through on the photos I take, telling the story while you focus on living it.
