What does “Documentary” Even Mean?
Documentary Photography goes by other names you may have heard before: Candid Photography, Storytelling Photography, or even Photojournalism. All of these terms can get overused or muddled but the main takeaways are:
The photos taken depict reality. Little to no staging, posing, or prompting!
The photos will tell a story. The location, the details, the people, and the emotions inform us on what was important that day.
Okay, but what does that mean for me, the client?
It means you get to have a great time being you! Celebrate, feel, smile, cry. All those emotions will come through on the photos I take, telling the story while you focus on living it.
